Yemen - 2022


This is key. Yemen.

The worst humanitarian crisis for years on end.

Children starving. Movies were made about this. I contacted the director of the movie.

No response.

 I contacted the hospital in Sana’a, no response.

I tried to get a visa for Yemen. Very difficult for an American.

The little girl who I call ‘The bucket Girl’ was my poster child for not only Yemen but every project I work on.
The picture moves me and I think about the 14,000 mothers that deal with the grief of losing their child every single day.
The futility of wondering why people buy 4,000 dollar handbags in Beverly Hills while a few pennies a day would save their child’s life.

The world is upside down.

It’s so obvious. It’s so clear. It’s so simple.

I gave up in despair after not having the resources to go there and help document the situation.

I vowed to go there someday. I will. With help to give.
